Studying at Starbucks...

Today was the first time I got to go out with my fellow friends from the new school! I have to say I actually had a great time. I mean we were meant to be studying and we sort of did. But most of the time we were just joking around and wasting money at Starbucks. We bought two big cinnamon rolls, one coffee cake, two mocha frappuccino and one Java Chip frappuccino(mine!). BTW for those of you who haven't tried the Java Chip frapuccino, I recommend you do!

The Java Chip frappuccino is composed of coffee with rich mocha-flavored sauce blended with milk, chocolaty chips and ice. Topped with sweetened whipped cream and chocolate-flavored drizzle. I usually order the White Mocha but I have decided to try out every single thing at Starbucks. Therefore the Java Chip was creamy, cold, chocolaty and really good. In other words it past the test!

Hope you all had a good Thursday, ill be leaving now cause I am tired and my bed is screaming my name. So remember, go to Starbucks and try yourself a Java Chip frappuccino

BTW If there is a drink from Starbucks you love and recomend, you can write to us on facebook here!! Or go to contacts and send us an e-mail!

Year of the Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year!!
(Year of the Dragon)

As you all know today we celebrate Chinese New Year!! Well at least I do! Normally what I do with friends is chill at a Sushi Bar and well...eat sushi and have fried dumplings and talk and what not. But do to the fact that this week we happen to be with a whole bunch of school projects and what not. We decided to buy sushi from our local supermarket and just chill at my house and probably watch "Mulan" and "The last Samurai"

And let me tell you that Supermarket had and I repeat HAD Sushi!!

I bought my usual Shrimp Tempura and some Egg-rolls to go with them. On our way home my mom also told me she had saved a fortune cookie for me from Panda Express! I know; my mother is the best!! Once we got home we got ready and started celebrating our Chinese New Year! Apparently the Year of the Dragon comes every 12 year. And this year it is the year of the Water Dragon which is celebrated every 60 years.

We are really grateful to celebrate the Year of the Water Dragon. Like Mr. Kate said for some of us this might be the only Water Dragon Year we experience!(BTW read her article to learn more:year of the dragon- what it means to you) So get out there be successful and enjoy this Year of the Water Dragon and everything it has to offer!

PS: I know Chinese New Year was yesterday, but do to the fact that my internet was gone thanks to the solar storm I didn't have the opportunity to post it!

HAPPY DRAGON YEAR!!

Bucket List: Disney Cruise

What a week! I really cant wait for summer to get here but ignoring that small fact lets talk about my bucket list! A bucket list is a list of goals people put themselves to accomplish, throughout their course in life. One of the things in my "Bucket List" is to be able to go on board a Disney Cruise. Ever since I was a little kid I have always wanted to go on a Disney Cruise because sharing that love I have for the ocean with a hint of Disney is  a dream come true!

Another thing I love about the Disney Cruise is the beauty and elegant designs of the main entrance, rooms, restaurants and everything else that comes along!

Not only that but I guess I have always wanted to visit Castaway Cay. The way I used to see it as a kid was an escape to Neverland and I long to see the place with my own eyes. In order to satisfy the kid inside me. But then again I have never been on a cruise before, so maybe in a near future, who knows? I might go on board on my first cruise and hopefully (with all the fairy dust in the world) lets hope its a Disney Cruise!

I hope you all have a bucket list and if you don't you should really make one!! I hope for those of you "who do"to be able to accomplish every single one of them!

BTW!! Did you know Disney is currently the only Cruise to display a firework show at sea?

Why Blog?

Right now I am in that time of life where you have such a huge mess on top of you. College is near, you don't know what you want to do. But you do know you want money! Your future plans do not go at par with your parents. You have no idea what to expect from the future, and you feel like a stray dog lost in the streets.

So, why make a blog now!?

Sure it has gone through my mind, who will read this... why waste time on this, who will care? Well I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that by starting this sort of weird "live journal" , I will be able to organize combine and wrap together things of my life with the things I fancy and hopefully learn a bit more about me! (Yes I know I cant get any cornier than that.)

I welcome you all!(And by all I mean all who would like to keep reading and all who really don't give a damn.) But this is something i'm doing for me. This is the place where I can complain, gloat the things I do, empty myself out, write about the things that inspire me and best of all still be me.
In the end just be "Christian Bosch!"

Surfing Tips...

Tip #1: Surfboards
You will never learn how to surf if you don't get a surfboard. That's the first thing you should do. GO in search of a surfboard and as soon as you get it, start to practice. Now once you get to practice for the first time you must find your personal balance in the board. This is a good way to start because if you don't have the correct balance you will be going nowhere. That is why once you lay down you need to find the balance! Remember that!!

Tip #2: Paddling
Worst mistake you can make when paddling is paddle with both your arms, this will slow down your board in the water and it will make you grow tired faster. Always paddle with the crawl stroke; one arm first and then the other one! This will provide you with constant speed that will allow you to catch a wave and ride it as if you were riding the wind!

Tip #3: Sitting in your Surfboard
The word here is being calm!! Now that we know how to paddle and lie down on the board, we are going to learn how to sit in a board. At first you'll be all wobbly and falling sometimes. Therefore once you sit on the board you must be calm. That's the key for all this, if your calm your still and that will help you in so many ways when surfing!

Tip #4: Catching a Wave
Don't waste your energy trying to get every single waves that passes through. You must be calm or another word for it patient. The wave will come to you, and you'll know that's the wave because you know your ready and your heart is pounding and you feel the wave lifting you up, that's when you paddle hard and you catch the wave!

Tip #5: Standing Up!
Now that your paddling hard its time to know how to stand up in your board!Put your hands on the board besides your shoulder down as if you were going to do push up's. Push your upper body up while you sweep your feet under you, laying them on the line down the middle of the board, so that your weigh is balanced along the middle. Once you are up stay low, because if your to erect you might loose balance not only that always look forward! I repeat do not look down because you will fall! I repeat you will fall!! Practice this for hours, lay your board on your bed or on the sand and practice those movements watch videos and keep practicing!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, ENJOY THE WATER AND THE MANY JOYS OF SURFING!

New Year's "Green" Resolution

First of all I wish you all a Happy New Year!!It is time to say goodbye to 2011 and welcome 2012. And what better way to start the new year making some changes?

I believe you are all aware that we are not the only living things in this planet. Nor are the plants nor the animals! But Earth itself is a living thing too. We don't call her Mother Earth for nothing. Therefore for this years resolution I suggest we all put at least some "green" resolutions among the list.

Below is a small list of things you can do that will be of a huge change to the environment. I believe in us we can all do this!!

1.Why bother buying plastic bottles you will most likely end up throwing away? That's why I recommend you all to buy a reusable water bottle. This is a good way to prevent buying plastic bottles. Remember PLASTIC NEVER BIODEGRADE! Meaning it just keeps getting smaller and smaller till it becomes part of the ecosystem. A great example for this is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

2. Not only is it good for you. But its good for the environment, and helps you save up your money. Not only that but you can afford to avoid traffic as well. And we all know how bad traffic can be!

3. Yes! I know this is hard for most of us including me. But if we could time ourselves to take a bath in less than ten minutes we would be making a huge change in the environment and not only that! Why spend to much water knowing there are other countries that do not even have access to clean water?

4. I gave you all another hard one. Try to eat less meat. Not only will it help the animals that are constantly abused in Factory Farms but like everything here it will help the environment. I myself started to stop eating meat at least once a week! Doing this can start at least reducing the meat consumption. This factory's have a horrible cycle and a way to treat this animals. The circle of life does not work like that!!

5. Reuse More!! Thankfully some cities are starting to band the use of plastic bags. Why use plastic bags when we can use cool and unique bags to carry our groceries or the items we buy. Listen to this according to the Clean Air Council less than 1% of shopping bags are recycled each year! Reuse jars! There are many uses you can give an empty jar. Store goods, food, use it to plant, decorate or even use it as a place to put candles. So as you can see reuse more and be creative!

I hope this post inspires all of you to make a change. As I hope you'll spread the word of the benefits of making some green changes! Even for me this post and doing research got me thinking about what it more than I expected.

       So therefore do some research,
              spread the word
           and help Mother Earth!
