Up, the real thing!

On March 15th, National Geographic Launched a balloon house inspired by the Pixar movie Up! (Those of you who haven't seen the movie I recommend you do!) How was this possible? Well thanks to a team of scientist, engineers, two balloon pilots and lots of volunteers a 16x16 foot house was built and 300 weather balloons (8 feet in diameter) were attached to it.

Once finished the house took flight and rose to about 10,00 feet off the ground and flew for one whole hour.  This helps us see that man can really do anything if they work hard for it. That we can do anything no matter how extravagant it seems. With lots of hard work and hope, we can make it!!

Remember go watch Pixar's Up! You'll love it, trust me!
