Museo de Vida Silvestre

The Museum of Wild Life (Museo de Vida Silvestre) is a must see if you come to P.R. I finally had the chance to go today and visit the museum that had my friends talking for weeks. This morning my little brother's godmother came over to visit, and since it was the first day of vacation for my brothers we wanted to do something cool and different. So I invited them to come with me to the museum, at first I had to convince them to go, but after I blackmailed them everything went OK! 


This museum had wild life written all over it! Literally it had, as soon as you get there you see this huge elephant statue right in front of the entrance to the museum and to an elephant lover like me I just fell in love with the place at first glance. I even named the elephant, Milo!!!

The experience was unique and great, but I do suggest you take a jacket cause its cold inside! The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm. They have 12 different exhibitions focusing on the different biomes the world has. Among them they have the Savannah, Grasslands, Desert, Rainforest and more. In each and one of this biomes they have animals that are commonly found in that area. Dont worry the animals arent real, they are sculptures made of foam that are given the srtucture of the animal. Then they attach the fur of the animal and voula you have a almost real life looking sculpture of the animal. 

The museum is not that big, but it offers the best service and tours ever. They also have an amphitheater that they use to display movies like Chimpanzee, African Cats or local documentaries of P.R. faunas. 

So therefore I encourage you all, those who live in Puerto Rico and those who come to visit, to go to this museum. I am most definately going back, for it is a place that is still integrating new exhibitions and stuff for the audience. Well this was me giving my sort of review on the museum, and yeah have a great day!!!
