Lac Rose

Lake Retba or as the French call it, Lac Rose, is a lake that is pink. Thats right a lake that is pinker than pepto bismol and strawberry milkshake put together! How is it pink you might be asking yourself? Well scientist say that the lake gives that pink impression due to this bacteria called cyanobacteria, dont worry its completely safe!

I should also tell you that Lac Rose has a high salt concentration allowing the swimmers to float effortlessly, just like that of the Dead Sea. Senegal's Lake Retba seems like a place to go if you go visit if you have the chance! 

10 Reasons why we deserve a Summer Vacation!

Sometimes for us soon to be college students we forget the great things about summer.  To be honest not only us but all of those who work all year long nonstop its just mad. To all of those moms that spend their days working with their kids, and at the house trust me we can all forget about summer! So to bring back this spark I have 10 reasons for anybody of why we deserve a summer vacation.

1. It might be one of our last. 
2. We survived finals, our jobs, kids and life.
3. Our bodies are begging for us to get some sleep.
4. We can catch up on our summer readings.
5. Vitamin D is good for our health.
6. Sand exfoliates our skin.
7. We deserve time to cook more than coffee and cereal, if you know what I mean!
8. You can write cheesy FB/Twitter status on how you are having a great time at the beach or just sleeping alot and make your friends jealous! :3
9. We get to have another crazy summer story to cherish in our hearts.
10. Why not!?!

Dont be selfish and give your body, mind, and spirit a break. Let them feel alive and full of energy and you will be ready to take on this coming year!! Go out and have fun. Catch up with old friends, throw portch parties do all you want and never regret it.
